Credit Remediation

What is My Credit Score?

Your credit score is a numerical representation of your credit history.  This score helps creditors determine what their approximate risk would be if they were to lend you money.  Credit card companies, car dealers, and mortgage lenders all use your credit score as an indicator of your likelihood of making regular, timely payments.

How Does My Credit Score Affect My Loan

Your credit score, income, total debt, and down payment are the four main factors that determine the rate, term and amount of your loan.  Your monthly income and debt tell the lender the maximum monthly payment you could reasonably afford, while your down payment and your credit score are the two largest factors in determining your interest rate.

Poor credit is the number one factor that will keep you from reaching your investment potential.  Monitoring and maintaining a high credit score will allow for lower payments, give you more flexibility, and ultimately save you a small fortune throughout your lifetime.

What Can I Do to Fix My Credit?

While it is possible to build your credit without help, seeking professional counseling is quicker, easier, and completely free.  I work with an experienced not-for-profit organization of credit restoration professionals.  They will analyze your credit report, give you specific advice, and possibly help you consolidate your debt and lower your payments.
